HONORS
In 1996, the Michigan Association of Governing Boards
for his outstanding contributions to academia chose Dr. Angur as a Distinguished
Michigan Professor. He has won several research grants and awards. Recently,
he was awarded the Research Excellence Fund from the State of Michigan.
Dr. Angur is the recipient of the 1996 Excellence in Teaching Award and
the 1998 Scholarly Achievement Award from the University of Michigan in
Flint. He is listed in the 1998 Who's Who Among America's Teachers. In
recognition of his overall contributions to the academic and industrial
community, Dr. Angur was nominated for the Carnegie Foundation Professor
of the Year Award during 1996 and 1997.
RESEARCH
His research has dealt with international marketing
strategy, industrial marketing, advertising and brand management, negotiations,
services marketing, consumer psychology, and health care marketing. He
has published articles on these topics in scholarly journals such as Journal
of Advertising Research, Industrial Marketing Management, OMEGA-International
Journal of Management Science, Socio-economic Planning Sciences Journal,
Journal of Customer Service in Marketing and Management, Journal of Hospital
Marketing, International Journal of Business Research, Journal of Marketing
Management, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, and American Business
Review. He has presented over twenty research papers at national and international
conferences in the United States, India, Austria, Australia, Singapore,
Canada, Portugal, Kenya, England, and France, several of which have been
published in refereed proceedings. Furthermore, he has been a visiting
faculty at some of the leading business schools in Asia.

Faculty Development Fund, from The University of Michigan-Flint; Research
