Dr. Ludmila Zilberstein

Firstly, I want to say that it was my pleasure to take part in this program and to work with professors from SOM Michigan-Flint University. As for me the program was well done in general.

Before the program began at the Academy there was a thorough spadework done by the program's executives and the instructors (professors) of the both side. We've tried to discuss all the question including the quantity of the student in the class and the courses content and approaches. This work helped us to make all professor's visits more effective and more efficient.

I know that all courses had a good technical support: sufficient student's and instructor's books, lecture notes and material, handouts, overhead transparencies. I worked close with Dr. Mark Perry and we had a very nice and interesting communication. I want to mark that his course also has a distance learning version and was located in the Academy's network (intranet). The students had a wonderful opportunity to use this web course before Dr. M.Perry had arrived to get ready for intensive classroom activities. I think it was a very good experience for professional skills development as well as for English language. Furthermore it was very useful for me to familiarize myself with the good organized distance course , because the same work have been included in my future plans: I want to make a distance learning course in Economics too.

To my mind we have had a professional example of the active form education usage during the Dr. M.Angur's course "Marketing". Unfortunately, I hadn't enough time to attend Dr. M.Angur's classes, but I heard a lot of the student's enthusiastic impressions about it.

I want to thanks Dr. M.Perry and Dr. B.Velthouse for their lectures for the PMTI students, which were very interesting and very useful. Dr. M. Perry told the students about Macro-Economic tendency in the USA and Dr. Velthouse - about new instruments of the Human Resources Management.

Furthermore the program helped me to improve my skills of English, because I had a good chance to communicate with the specialist from the same professional field.

And at the end, I want to make several suggestions: I think it might be better if all the instructors used the active form in the classes; I'm sure that the program need to be continued, because we made only first step in the joint work and we can do much more. As a Director of the Training Center I suggest the co-operation of the PMTI and the PIME especially in the area of Marketing and Human Resources Management.
