Dr. Seyed Mehdian
I taught a course called "Financial Analysis". The materials
that I covered in this course were basically materials of BUS 361
combined with a number of cases selected from BUS461. I am very much
satisfied with the materials and the format of the course. I am pleased
with the excellent performance of the students and their motivation
and hard working. I talked with the students and they reacted positively
towards the materials and structure of the course.
I think the Russian assignment was a very valuable
experience for me and I learned a lot in its process. I believe everything
went well and therefore no fundamental changes are required except the
following minor changes.
1) I will include more problems and cases in
the course.
2) I will send the syllabus and preliminary assignments a month or so
before the date that course actually starts. Reading will be assigned
from the books that are already exist in the IABB's library. (There are
a number of elementary and intermediate finance books in IABB's library.)
3) I will put more emphases on the applications of new techniques in risk
management in a corporate setting.
4) I will and motivate students to participate in the case discussions.
5) I will put more emphases on problems solving aspect of the course
